The Seven Movements of the Basic Practice

…restoring the magic of your humanity

Breath · Space · Choice · Flow · Creativity · Seeing · Yielding

“The meaning of the word magic has been altered over time to be identified with pulling rabbits out of hats or something sinister; its ancient meaning refers to moving in harmony with the flow of the essential movement of life, participating in its creative power. As we move into deeper harmony, we become as we were meant to be and once were, like the grass and all natural things, guided by the intelligence of the essential flow that resides within ourselves, shifting us from believing back into knowing, as our ancestors did. “

BREATH

BREATH is our connection to the essential flow of life, the elements within ourselves and nature, and emotional regulation by balancing our stress hormones. Inhale and exhale through the nose and feel yourself calm. Recognizing that we have power over our emotions by using the breath is the foundation of Basic Practice. Breath forms the foundation for allowing SPACE between your activities. This spaciousness keeps you connected to the elements in nature and yourself. Staying connected to your breath by not moving too fast or slow establishes your rhythm.

SPACE

When you move at your own rhythm—pacing yourself and allowing time between activities—you begin to process experiences more fully. You become able to receive guidance from within and from nature.

SPACE is what allows you to make CHOICES using your three brains: head (reason), heart (feeling), and gut (intuition). Networked choices made in alignment with all three aspects of intelligence support the restoration of the magic of your humanity. These kinds of connections make synchronicity or being in the right place at the right time occur with greater regularity while supporting wellbeing and meaningful living.

CHOICE

CHOICE is the movement that brings our connection to the elements of nature into action.  When choices are made in alignment with your whole self, your choices reflect who you truly are.  Networked choices consider reflection and reputable information, how we feel, and the higher intelligence of intuition.   This aligns your movements with the elements and your life to begin to FLOW, be supported by nature.

FLOW

When life FLOWS, hormones rebalance, the nervous system shifts, and the brain begins to change. You enter what is into flow state, commonly referred to being in the zone.  In flow state, the magic of your humanity is enhanced, and you have deeper access to your innate CREATIVITY.

CREATIVITY

CREATIVITY expands awareness. It helps you to SEE nature's guidance through the experiences that recur in your daily life.  Creativity opens pathways that move your life forward.  Your life is reorganized to support the creative expression of who you truly are. You begin to feel joy, ease, and pleasure in what you do as life responds to you by supplying you with what is needed to live as it is needed.

SEEING

As your perspective expands, you begin to SEE the recurring events that guide you more clearly. You become increasingly attuned to the intelligence within nature and yourself. This deepening awareness strengthens the FLOW-STATE—that zone of calm, focus, and presence where synchronicity becomes frequent and life reflects back your sense of connection.

You experience yourself more fully and feel less separated from others. The order within nature expresses itself through your daily life, affirming that you are in alignment with something greater.

YIELDING

YIELDING is not giving up; it is allowing. As you yield to the experience of FLOW, nature supports you—as it was always designed to do.

Daily Practice

  • Upon awakening, BREATHE into calm.
  • Move at your rhythm, allowing      SPACE for guidance and reflection. Even a few moments of stillness between activities can be powerful.
  • Align your three brains—head      (reason), heart (feeling), gut (intuition)—when making CHOICES. Even the smallest choices shape your life.
  • Shift into FLOW by giving full attention to your actions and activities.
  • Be CREATIVE and solution-oriented. Especially when      interacting with others
  • Notice how CREATIVITY expands your awareness. You begin to SEE differently and naturally adjust.
  • YIELD to where your calm and wellbeing direct you. If an action, activity, conversation, or decision disturbs your sense of calm, pause and move in the direction of calm.
